As an entrepreneur, you must always be on the watch out for external factors that can make or break your business, and one of such external factors is trend. Trend, like the waves of an ocean is powerful enough to crush anything that opposes it. So the best way to use trend to your advantage is to flow with it; not against.
Building business blogs seems to be the trend on the rise but before you jump on the bandwagon and start your own blog, you need to understand what a blog entails. Otherwise, you will begin writing and then lose interest. If you stop blogging, then everything you have done up to that point will worthless.

3. If your business operates in an industry where price changes frequently. An example of such is the oil and gas industry. Then you need to build a blog for your business.
4. If your business sells seasonal products such as gift items, umbrellas sweat coats and so on. Then you need a business blog.
5. If you business offer after sales service to customers; an example is a car dealership business. You are going to need a business blog.
6. If you are in a business where your clients need to be notified or reminded of upcoming events. An example is an educational business or institution; you definitely need to build a blog.

You should be able to add something to your blog at least every day, with a minimum of five times a week. Most of the blogs that show up in search engines actually have multiple posts a day.
In conclusion, i think it is necessary that every business should build and maintain a blog. If the Fortune’s 500 companies are making use of blogs, why shouldn’t you? Building a business blog is quite challenging so i will advice you answer the questions above before deciding if you will need to build a blog for your business or not.
